Present were Officers:  President, Scott Albright, Treasurer, Kim Harris, Sergeant at Arms, George Colburn.  Board of Directors present were Dawn Geigan and Chad Tracey.  Missing were Secretary, Lori Blake, Vice President, Chris Frantz, BOD missing were, Mike McGinnis, Raul Eusantos and Steve Rutzebeck.

President’s Report:

Scott gave a  recap from the annual Ocean City Convention.  It was very successful and great time was had by all. We had more members attend this year, but would still like to have better participation from Roost 115 for next year and better showing in the parade. The parade is a big deal and a great opportunity to promote our Roost.  We will have convention planning committees for next year.

Two new by-laws are up for review, more info to come.

 Treasurer’s Report:

No balance given due to expenses still being paid for the golf outing, will be reported in the July meeting.

  Committee Reports:

 Charity Committee:

Sherry Rutzebeck as agreed to Chair the Charity Committee and is looking for volunteers. She will be having a committee meeting in the coming weeks. Thanks Sherry!

Entertainment/Events –

Picnic Table Raffle - We are selling tickets for the Joe Flacco picnic table we won at the Polar Bear Plunge. The tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20. The flyers are on the website. Start selling those tickets as we plan to raffle it off at our Crab Feast. You can purchase tickets on the Roost website or from Scott. The table is awesome and large enough to fit at least 8 people comfortably.  This is a great fund raiser for the Roost and an awesome prize for the lucky winner!  Get your tickets today!

Golf Outing

Golf Outing was a huge success having approx $6,700 in profit left after expenses.  We will review with BOD on the distribution of the funds to charities and planning for some social events for Roost members. Great Job by all those involved, it keeps getting bigger and better!

Crab Feast

We need to sell the remainder of our crab feast tickets.  Lori needs a final count by July 15th.  Many members have agreed to sell tickets so please sell them and get the money turned in to Kim Harris ASAP!  We need to make this a sell out, it is going to be a great event and lots of fun. Jamison Hemsley is going to be our special guest, and will have lots of great early season Ravens insight. Captain Defense has agreed to attend as well.  We would like all members to either buy a ticket or sell a few tickets in order to make this a great success.  The crab feast is on Saturday, August 11th from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Westminster VFW.  We have secured Harris Seafood to handle the steamed crabs and corn on site.  Menu includes all you can eat crabs, corn on the cob, Maryland Crab soup, fried chicken, hot dogs, beef barbeque, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, vegetable tray, cheese tray, draft beer, soda ice tea and lemonade.  We will also have raffles and a big 6 wheels along with other fun things.    Information is posted on the website and tickets are available now.  Contact Lori Blake at lblake6675@yahoo.com, chris-frantz@hotmail.com or eusantosjr@hotmail.com

New business:

Bobbi provided some information on the LCG Sport’s Marketing’s event on August 18th at the Carroll County Ag Center.  Ray Lewis will be in attendance as well as several other current and former Ravens.  We agreed to try and help sell tickets in order to get a free table for the Roost at the event.  Scott has been in touch with Phil walls and will follow up.

The July 9 Sam Koch signing at John Street Quarters was mentioned and folks were encouraged to attend.  Proceeds benefit Carroll Food Sunday.

Sara Hund mentioned the upcoming Torrey Smith Bingo event on July 19th from 6-9 at M&T Bank stadium. She also mentioned that she is no longer with Rape Crisis, but thanked the Roost for the help with Walk A Mile in Her Shoes.

Bobbi mentioned an upcoming  Pig Roast on September 15th with all Roost members being invited.  More details to follow soon.

Kathy Sanner, mentioned the fact that the TRP charity doesn’t do much for us because they are all volunteers and don’t have many resources, but still appreciate our support.

With no other business, the meeting was adjourned.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 25th at Rafaels.

Respectfully Submitted by Lori Blake, Secretary Ravens Roost #115 (Scott Albright took notes in Lori’s absence, thanks Scott!)
