BRYANT McKINNIE

Posted by Major Offense on Monday, February 25, 2013, In : Major Offense
BRYANT McKINNIE: He is an Unrestricted Free Agent. People have credited him with making the OL better in the playoff run, and have been critical of Harbaugh for keeping him in the "Dog House" for the regular season. There are those that believe that had he been allowed to play, the team would have won more games and perhaps hosted the Playoffs. I have not been a McKinnie fan, since my perception is of someone with talent who does not always play for real. I have seen a player that the Vikings...

FRONT OFFICE TIME

Posted by Major Offense on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, In : Major Offense
FRONT OFFICE TIME: This is the time of the year where the FO has to pick up the pace. The salary cap experts have to juggle the numbers of the contracts, and project how money can be shifted from the present and the future to keep a competitive team on the field. The scouting department has to focus on the draft prospects and potential FA's, while the coaches have to grade the personnel that they have in order to take a look at the depth and the talent. CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY

Posted by Major Offense on Friday, February 8, 2013, In : Major Offense
CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY: The Baltimore Ravens are the World Champions. We can say that until the next one is crowned. The celebration will soon die out as the off-season discussions start to take shape. There will indeed be a lot to talk about, but I prefer to savor the Super Bowl win for a little longer. Like Chykie Brown making a snow angel in the confetti, I want to bathe in the victory.
 1. Having older coaches seems to help keep some consistency. Pagano was a young up-and-comer and we lost hi...

THE TEAM AND THE FANS

Posted by Major Offense on Friday, February 8, 2013, In : Major Offense
THE TEAM AND THE FANS: Today was an amazing experience. I got to the stadium and was able to get onto the field before the celebration. Looking at the fans from the field; and there were plenty. Watching the stadium fill up, all the way to the top. Listening to the cheers, the chants. Watching the love between a football team and its fans. Watching the players taking pictures and video of the fans. Feeling the bond that can bring a team to the people that support them, that help pay for it to...

SUPER BOWL EVE/ REPORTING FROM FORWARD COMMAND IN NEW ORLEANS

Posted by Major Offense Live on Location in New Orleans on Saturday, February 2, 2013, In : Major Offense
SUPER BOWL EVE/ REPORTING FROM FORWARD COMMAND IN NEW ORLEANS: Flying on a Charter Plane with all Ravens Fans is a good thing. You can chant without penalty and the talk is about the Home Team.
And Southern Hospitality is evident; and we only went out to dinner last night !! Everybody we have met so far has said they are pulling for the Ravens. And of course one of the Mardi Gras colors is purple - so there is plenty of that here.
We are here through Prime Sport, and yesterday we learned that...
